Do I Thank God For Everything?

 

 

 

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV)

 

18. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

 

Did you notice that this verse of Scripture says to give thanks in everything, not for everything? You do not give thanks to God for everything because everything, like sickness and disease, is not of God. But you do give thanks to God in everything because you have the power in Jesus Christ to overcome whatever is troubling you. So, when sickness tries to come on you, don’t give thanks to God for the sickness but do give thanks in the sickness because you do not have to succumb to it and let it destroy you.
