Do Not Be Moved By The Waves Of Life

 

 

 

Matthew 8:23-25 (NKJV)

 

23. Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.

 

24. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.

 

25. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"

 

The boat was still afloat and the disciples were already confessing they were perishing. That is what some of us have been doing, confessing defeat instead of victory. Every time you whine, complain, and cry, you are giving the devil comfort; you are not honoring God. If you just have to say something, say, "Praise the Lord, glory to God, hallelujah." And if your mouth wants to say anything else, slap yourself! In other words, take control of your thoughts and emotions and speak the Word and not the challenges. Do not allow the waves of life to govern your confession.
