God Will Back Up His Word

 

 

Mark 16:19,20 (NKJV)

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

 

Notice what it does not say. It does not say that he confirmed them. It said they preached the Word, but God did not confirm them that preached the Word. God confirmed His Word preached. It says signs following. Word first, then the signs. What most people want is to see some signs first and then they will believe. But it doesn't work that way. You have to believe it first, then you see it. When you see something, why in the world would you have to believe it? It is obvious that you would know it then. Seeing is knowing. Seeing is not believing, seeing is knowing. You have to believe it for no other reason than the fact that the Almighty God said it. You have to believe it, then you have to say it, if you want God to get involved in it. That is what makes it work. So, our confession must agree with the Word of God.
