God's Word - A Living Thing

Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV)

12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Word of God is alive. It is a living thing. When you spend time in the Word it will cause change and growth. Here we are told it is alive or is living. God's Word can cut through to the very core of something or someone's heart. That is why we must know the reality of God's Word for ourselves.
