Hebrews 10:35-36

 

 

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.  For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

 

If most of us tried to run a marathon today, without any training or preparation, we would collapse onto the pavement within the first mile of the race, exhausted and gasping for breath. God not only wants us to run the "race" of faith to its conclusion, but also be aware that He has "fixed" the outcome for us to win -- provided we just don't quit.
