Jesus Is the Reason for the Season

 

Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV):

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

 

The prophet Isaiah foretold of the coming of Jesus. Traditionally, Christians around the world celebrate Christmas as the birthday of Jesus the Christ. Man has had a tendency to commercialize Christmas, focusing on the presents, decorations, and all that is associated with this time of year. 

 

We must remind ourselves of the Reason for the Season, and that is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Because of God's great love for us, He sent Jesus into this earth realm to be born, live, and more importantly, to die for us so mankind could be reconciled to God.

 

So as we celebrate this day let us be mindful of the Reason for the Season.
