John 6:15.
Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.
Jesus did not succumb to what man tried to make him. He was set on fulfilling God’s purpose for His life – not man’s. People will always have all sorts of ideas as to what you can be, what you should be doing, and how you should be fulfilling the calling and vision God has set before you.
Just like Jesus, your Great Example Setter, you must resist the temptation to give into what man thinks and desires for and of you. What God has for you is always inevitably better than anything man or this world has to offer. Your best bet in this life is to always remain true to what God has called you to be and what God says about you, regardless. Remember, the Lord is the only one who truly will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
