Mix The Word With Faith

 

 

Hebrews 4:2 (NKJV)

2. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

 

You can hear the Word of God and have it not profit you. The Word heard has to be mixed with faith to have it profit you, and it is the responsibility of the hearer to do the mixing. So how do we mix the Word with faith? You put the ingredients of faith and the Word of God in the mixing bowl of your mouth. Then you turn on the beater blade, which is your tongue! 

Mixing the Word with faith means acting upon the Word of God, and what you say with your mouth is part of acting on God’s Word. It is by your speaking the Word of God in faith that helps bring the promises in the Word to come to pass in your life.
