Positive Confession, Positive Thinking

 

 

Proverbs 23:7(NKJV)

7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. "Eat and drink!" he says to you, But his heart is not with you.

 

The primary thing that we do with our tongue is speak, or talk. We would have a very difficult time talking or verbalizing without a tongue. Generally we talk more than we eat. Or we should! Christianity is actually a confession, from the beginning to the end, whether we like it or not. Positive thinking is good, but I believe that positive thinking is only the first stage of something bigger. If positive thinking is all that you are ever exposed to, that is well and good. Because that is better than being exposed only to negative thinking. However, if all you ever do is think positively, you will never learn how to speak positively. If you think positively, all you will do is change your attitude about your circumstances, not the circumstances. You confess your way into the kingdom of God with your mouth, and then you confess your way to the top of righteousness and victorious living in Christ.
