Pray For Those In Authority

 

 

 

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NKJV)

 

1. Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,

 

2. for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

 

We must pray for our leaders. This verse admonishes us to pray for all men, but then it goes on to say we should pray especially for those in authority. The verse uses the word kings, but that basically means leader or heads of "that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." We must pray for those in government and leadership in our country, and we should pray for them daily!
