The Mind

 

 

 

Matthew 6:22-23 (NKJV)

 

22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.

 

23 “But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”

 

The mind is the battle ground. It is our responsibility to maintain what we allow into it. One of the ways into the mind is through the eye. It is one of the senses that God has gifted us with to assist us with this three-dimensional world. But, the term eye can also mean how you understand things or how you see things. When Jesus stated that the light of the body is the eye, he was referring to what would enter it and have its effect on the mind, creating physical works that would either result with works that are good or bad. Let us make a decision to keep our minds renewed with the word of God so that it would yield the light that God has given to us.
