The Tithe

 

 

 

Malachi 3:10. (NKJV)

 

10. "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it."

 

The tithe, which is ten percent of your income, is what God says you owe to Him. Therefore you "pay" your tithes, not "give" your tithes, because God says that this money belongs to Him. 

 

And when you pay your tithes, God is so gracious that He says He will bless you just for being obedient. In fact, He says He will "open the windows of heaven" and pour you out a blessing. Now, the last time God opened the windows of heaven, rain literally flooded the earth. So not only does your tithing control your blessings, but you are blessed the most by your tithing.
