The Word Has Rewards

 

Hebrews 10:35-36 (NKJV):

35. Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

36. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

 

Another word for confidence is trust. Our trust in God and His Word has rewards. Or you might say it pays dividends. But here we are also told something that we need to have. That is endurance or patience. Many Christians have a challenge with patience. Our society is a microwave society. People want everything now.

 

These verses go on to tell us that when we have done God's will, we get the promise or reward. Some may ask, “What is God's will?” His Word is His will. So we need to be acting on and speaking His Word. We must then trust in or have confidence in His Word. So we must hold on to and not let go of the Word of God. It has rewards!
