What Are You Hearing?

 

Romans 10:17 (NKJV):

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

 

Faith comes by hearing -- not by having heard. Hearing is a constant. It takes hearing the Word of God for faith to come because faith is a characteristic of the Word of God being proclaimed. Just like the wet goes with the water, faith comes with the preaching of God’s Word.  

 

  That is why it is important to watch what we hear. In whatever you are hearing, faith comes. It is a spiritual principle. So if you want to build up your faith, then you must be consistently hearing the Word of God proclaimed or taught.
