What You Hear

 

 

 

Luke 8:18.(NKJV)

 

"Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him."

 

What you have in this life is ultimately tied to what you hear because what you hear affects your faith. This is why Jesus goes on to tell His disciples that whoever has, more will be given, and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him. If you do not use your faith, which is a product of what you hear, then you will not be able to obtain or protect the things of this life.

 

In this scripture, Jesus is letting you know that it is by acting on God’s Word, which is faith, that you will be able to receive and keep all that the Lord has for you. So, if you "do not have," then you need to check up on what you have been hearing, and consequently believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth.
