You Have a Right to Expect

 

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV):

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

 

We have a right to come to the throne of grace. Not because of ourselves, but because of Jesus. Not only are we told that we can come boldly, but we are also told to expect. It is one thing to have access to something, but it is entirely different to expect something. When we come to His throne, we should do so boldly – meaning knowing our right to be there as a child of God – but more importantly, we should expect something when we get there.

 

We can expect help in times of need but, again, we must know our rights. Many Christians go to God hoping to find help but they do not know their rights. Because of Jesus, we can expect to find help.
