Your Cup Runs Over

 

 

Psalm 23:5. (NKJV)

5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

 

In this celebrated psalm, King David is talking about the heavenly Father. He says the Lord God prospered him right in the midst of his enemies. His testimony assures us that our enemies cannot keep us from prospering. In fact, if we will be like King David and continue to walk according to the Word of God regardless of what others are trying to do to us and around us, then the Lord can and will anoint us so that our cups overflow. Just like King David, we will be blessed exceedingly abundantly as a testimony to our enemies of the power, faithfulness, and goodness of our God.
