In this sermon, Dr. Herbert Ward teaches that vision is revelation from God, often received through His Word, dreams, prayer, and relationship with Jesus. Vision gives people direction, purpose, discipline, and the ability to move forward according to God’s will. Without vision, people lack restraint, make poor decisions, and risk spiritual stagnation or destruction.

Pastor Dr. Ward uses biblical examples such as Abram, Adam, Daniel, Isaiah, Joseph, Peter, and Cornelius to show how God-given vision moves people into obedience, leadership, service, and blessing. Abram moved from idol worship into God’s covenant purpose because he obeyed God’s Word. Daniel received revelation through prayer. Isaiah responded to God’s call after seeing the Lord. Joseph’s vision helped preserve nations. Peter’s vision opened the way for Gentiles to receive the gospel.

Pastor Dr. Ward shares that vision must come from God and must lead to action. A vision should be written, made plain, and followed with discipline and faith. Leaders especially need vision because blind leadership leads people into danger. He concludes the sermon by urging believers to build a deeper relationship with Jesus, keep their minds on Him, and trust God for visions of peace, purpose, joy, and blessing.
