This message continues through Ezekiel 30–31, where God delivers successive “thus says the Lord” oracles against Egypt—His Old Testament picture of the world system—explaining how He has already broken one Pharaoh’s arm (Necho) and will break another’s (Hophra), while strengthening Nebuchadnezzar’s hand as His own sword in history. The pastor shows how God uses these precise, dated prophecies and the rise-and-fall of massive powers like Assyria and Egypt to warn every proud ruler and culture that exalts itself, corrupts people, and acts like a god: God alone rules in the affairs of men, He will topple any empire that forgets Him, yet He remains faithful to correct, protect, and ultimately rescue His own people as prophecy races toward its final fulfillment.
