Five Strategies to Set Our Children Up for Success

Here are a few ways we can help our kids succeed during the school year:

1. Pray and Worship

We get it, mornings are crazy. But if we will take just a few minutes to pray and praise together, it will set the tone for the entire day.

2. Get Into a Routine

Build a productive family routine. Set bedtimes and wake-up times, decide who will make breakfast, and who will help the kids get ready. Agree on the schedule and adjust as needed.

3. Encourage Family Discussions

With our kids away from home during the day, we must connect with them in the morning before they leave and in the evening by initiating healthy conversations.

4. Meet Up With Friends Before School

Having a common place to socialize with classmates and catch up can make school less nerve-wracking.

5. Give Grace

Returning to classes can be hard on everyone, so leave space for grace.
