About Bishop Lewis Nash Sr.
Bishop Lewis Nash Sr Life and Spiritual journey Born to Nathaniel and Alice McNair Nash, Lewis Nash Sr. was raised in North Philadelphia and educated in the public school system. He discovered his faith at a young age. But his spiritual journey deepened after the passing of his mother when he was just sixteen, an event that led him to rededicate his life to the Lord. This path guided him to New Jerusalem Evangelistic Temple during his high school years, and later to Greater Bibleway Temple, where he served from 1991 to 1999. On July 16, 1991, Bishop Lewis Nash Sr. received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, an experience he considers his divine calling. Inspired by this powerful encounter with God, he felt compelled to preach the gospel, a mission he continues to fulfill. Education, Entrepreneurship, and Founding a Ministry To prepare for his ministry, Bishop Lewis Nash Sr. attended Manor Bible School and Bibleway Worldwide Christian Academy, graduating in 1997. That same year, he became a licensed barber stylist and also developed his skills in the building trades, which enabled him to renovate, remodel, and build various structures. 1999, he founded Faith Deliverance Outreach Ministries, which was later renamed Faith and Deliverance Kingdom Worship Center in 2024. Community and Political Leadership Beyond his pastoral duties, Bishop Lewis Nash Sr. is also a committed community activist. In 2012, he became a Committee Person, serving the 47th Ward. Family and Personal Milestones Bishop Lewis Nash Sr. has four children from a previous marriage: Lewis Jr., Lamar, and twins Malachi and Rachel, who were born in 2016. That same year, he faced a major health challenge when he was diagnosed with 4th Stage non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Through his unwavering faith and a prophecy he received, he was miraculously healed in less than thirty days. In 2021, he married Tanya Nash. Together, they have a blended family of seven children and grandchildren, and they oversee various organizations dedicated to serving the community, including FAITH & DELIVERANCE Kingdom Worship Center, Map Holistic CDC, and 1510 Nash Family LLC. Ecclesiastical Leadership and Recent Developments Following his powerful testimony of healing, Bishop Lewis Nash Sr. was appointed Bishop Elect by Apostle Benjamin Peterson of Bibleway Churches Worldwide in 2018. In 2022, he was officially ordained as Bishop by Bishop Freemen of North Carolina and also became a Ward Leader.
