flower with text that reads Hope for a Mothers heart

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness…Her children stand and bless her.” Proverbs 31:25-28 NLT

Mothers have a difficult but rewarding job. If you are a mother, you are familiar with the long nights that end watching the sunrise with your baby, the homework that gets put off until the last minute, and the never-ending meal preparations for your hungry family. Often, these daily routines are accomplished while also working outside of the home. If you are blessed to have a mother, or mother figure such as a grandmother, aunt, or sister, as an adult, you have probably learned to appreciate the sacrifice that comes with being a mom.

With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, take some time to reflect on the life lessons that your mom may have taught you. From encouraging you when you feel down, cheering along your games, and praying for you every step of the way, these are things that have shaped the person you have become.

Mothers, please know how treasured you are. Take heart in the work you are doing within your family!  For more encouragement, join LIFE Today as Sheila Walsh takes a deeper look into what being a Proverbs 31 woman truly means.
