- Prayer And Asking God

Has your prayer life gotten away from you? Are you worried that you aren’t praying well? In Luke 18:1, Jesus says that sometimes we can lose heart in prayer. But we should always pray and never lose heart. God knows that we live in a challenging world with difficult circumstances. The part we need to remember is that when we face challenges and have lost motivation, we cannot stop praying.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, ”Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Prayer is one of the most phenomenal things Christians get to do. It’s also the most difficult to get fired up and keep fired up. Those who have discovered its power, provide clear direction and new motivation. Explore select Scriptures and go deeper and further into prayer than ever before. Apply five essentials of prayer and receive all God wants to shower on you—when you just ask.

Praying is our direct link to God to communicate anything we want.

James MacDonald gives 5 prayer essentials in this message to shape your prayers and to shape you as the pray-er.

Pray anticipating that God will do something, and expect yourself to be ready. Keep your faith strong, don’t be discouraged, it may hurt to hope but God can use that to help you persevere through the challenges. Christians are meant to have a personal relationship with God (Christ’s disciples surely did) and as His followers we are given tasks, we are given commandments to keep.

Likewise God has covenants He keeps with us, our relationship is meant to be eternal including the one we have with Him right now. It is rightly so that we should ask him for help and seek out His will in our lives. We can’t do life alone, it is and should always be a great humbling joy to seek the Lord’s guidance.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” - Romans 10:13

No matter how long you have been a follower of Christ, and no matter the date you were saved, you need the saving grace of God just as much as the unbeliever. Praying is our direct link to God to communicate anything we want. When those tough times come your way, when the storms of life hit. Pray from intimacy with Jesus, because when we are close with Christ, we can receive all that God has for us.
