What Path Does God Have for Your Life?

July 26

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2

In Lewis Carroll’s famous novel Alice in Wonderland, an exchange takes place where Alice comes upon the grinning Cheshire Cat. She’s lost and asks him, “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”

The cat quips back, “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.”

“I don’t much care where,” Alice replies.

So the cat says, “Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.”

Many folks today, like Alice, simply don’t know where they’re going. Then they’re surprised after they’ve ended up wasting their years starting this, stopping that, switching gears, but never really having a purpose in life.

But what would happen if we became not more “simple” minded, but “single” minded in our resolve? What if instead of looking for just the right job or person to marry, people began with the end in mind of living full-out for Christ whatever path that meant taking?

In Christ, you have a destination: to serve Him fully and wholeheartedly. And while the exact path to that destination may not be illuminated yet, you can begin looking for direction today with that end in mind. Keep Christ first and let you life’s path go from there.

KEEP CHRIST AS YOUR DESTINATION IN LIFE AND HE’LL REVEAL THE RIGHT PATH FOR YOU.

About Pastor Jack Graham

Dr. Jack Graham serves as Senior Pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church, one of the nation’s largest, most dynamic congregations.

When Dr. Graham came to Prestonwood in 1989, the 8,000-member congregation responded enthusiastically to his straightforward message and powerful preaching style.

Now thriving with more than 57,000 members, Prestonwood continues to grow, reaching throughout the North Texas region. In 2006, the church launched a second location, the North Campus, in a burgeoning area 20 miles north of the Plano Campus. Within the first week of its release, the podcast reached the top spot on the Spotify religion list, and it has now surpassed 30 million downloads.

Dr. Graham has served as Honorary Chairman of the National Day of Prayer and has helped lead various national prayer initiatives. He served as President of the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in the country with more than 14 million members.

He and Deb have three married children and eight grandchildren.
